  2.                           Settings Files

  4.      Try the Settings Files in this directory with the Test.data
  5. landscape on the disk.  Start up Panorama, `Load Data', and then `Load
  6. Settings'.  You can also load parts of these files by selecting one of
  7. the `From File' subitems in the submenus of the Features menu or the
  8. Colors menu.
  9.      Lava.set turns rivers into streams of lava and colors the landscape
  10. appropriately.
  11.      Waves.set sets up the water and sky colors and the wave parameters
  12. to show the sky reflection aspect of the Panorama wave treatment to good
  13. advantage.
  14.      SunsetFog.set fills the main valley of the landscape with fog and
  15. provides the sky with a dramatic range of colors silhouetting dark clouds.
  16. Try redrawing the picture with each of the HLS sky-horizon color
  17. interpolation schemes as well as the RGB scheme set by the file.
  18.      The special effects set up by the Waves.set and SunsetFog.set files
  19. are only visible in 24-bit pictures.  Use the Convert-To-Ham option after
  20. the picture is completed, or save the 24-bit file and use other software
  21. to display it on one of the enhanced color display cards available for
  22. the Amiga.  Both settings files turn on trees for added effect, but the
  23. rendering will be considerably faster if you turn off trees before drawing
  24. the picture.
  25.      The PanoramaConfig.set file contains all the default settings
  26. for Panorama.  If you copy this file, perhaps with your own custom
  27. modifications, to the directory from which you run Panorama or to the
  28. system S: directory, Panorama will automatically load the file when it
  29. starts up.
